A case of contract killing has emerged from the Katihar district of Bihar, where a son allegedly orchestrated the murder of his father. The son, Firoz Ansari, hired three contract killers to kill his father after being disinherited following his marriage. The police, acting on a tip-off, arrested the son and the contract killers before they could carry out the murder. The contract, valued at 10 lakh rupees, included a written agreement outlining the details of the hit. The contract killers, identified as Shubham Kumar, Sajid Ansari, and Azam Ansari, were intercepted by the police at the Durga Ghat in the Pranpur police station area. Authorities seized a country-made pistol, a local firearm known as a ‘katta,’ and live ammunition from the arrested individuals.
