A devastating shooting occurred in Grand Blanc, Michigan, on Sunday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. A 40-year-old man drove his car into the church, initiated a shooting, and set fire to the building. The attack led to the deaths of at least four individuals, and several others sustained injuries. The shooter, a resident of Burton, Michigan, employed an assault rifle in the attack. Law enforcement officers confronted the suspect, resulting in a fatal exchange of gunfire. Authorities believe that the suspect acted alone in the incident. Eight or more people were wounded in the shooting, with some in critical condition.
