
In a gesture of solidarity, Suryakumar Yadav, the captain of the Indian cricket team, has committed to donating his match fees from the Asia Cup 2025 to the Indian Army and the families impacted by the Pahalgam terror attack. The announcement followed India’s win over Pakistan in the final held at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Yadav’s statement, shared on social media, read: “I have decided to donate my match fees from this tournament to support our Armed Forces and the families of the victims who suffered from the Pahalgam terror attack. You always remain in my thoughts. Jai Hind.” With Indian players earning INR 4 lakh per match and a total of seven matches played, Suryakumar Yadav will be donating a total of INR 28 lakhs. India won the Asia Cup 2025 by 5 wickets, with key performances including Kuldeep Yadav’s 4 wickets.
