The accused, driven by blind faith, first intoxicated his friend before taking him to a room and brutally ending his life by slitting his throat. The victim, identified as Ajay (alias Jhatu), was killed in Gadabasa, under the jurisdiction of the Golmuri police station. The accused, Sandeep Kumar, has been arrested by the police. The local community was stunned by the violence. When the police arrived on the scene, they took the injured Ajay to Tata Medical Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead.
