Following a road accident near Baddi, Himachal Pradesh, on Saturday, Punjabi singer Rajvir Jawanda is in critical condition. His motorcycle collided with stray cattle, resulting in severe injuries. After the accident, he was initially taken to the Civil Hospital, where he was treated for head and spine injuries and experienced a cardiac arrest. He was then transferred to Fortis Hospital in Mohali for advanced medical care.
Rajvir Jawanda remains on life support at Fortis Hospital. Medical reports indicate a critical neurological state with minimal brain activity and no significant improvement despite ongoing advanced medical treatments. MRI scans showed hypoxic brain changes caused by CPR at the initial medical center. Further tests of the brain and spine revealed extensive damage to the cervical and dorsal regions, resulting in profound weakness in all four limbs.
He continues to require prolonged ventilator support. The overall prognosis remains uncertain.
Many fellow artists have been urging fans to pray for Rajvir Jawanda following his critical motorcycle accident. Recently, during his Hong Kong concert, Diljit Dosanjh paused the show to request the audience to pray for Rajvir, calling him a “dear brother” and “a wonderful singer.” Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann was among those who visited the hospital.
Rajvir Jawanda started his music career in 2014. His hit song “Kali Jawande Di” brought him popularity. Besides singing, he has acted in movies like Mindo Taseeldarni and Subedar Joginder Singh. Prior to his music career, he served in the Punjab Police. He now lives in Mohali with his family.
