A church in the Simdega district of Jharkhand was the target of a robbery involving masked assailants. Around 10-12 individuals, armed with weapons, entered the Tumdegi Church and stole roughly 3.50 lakh rupees. The Dean and Assistant Priest, Thomas Soreng and Emmanuel Baghwar, were attacked and seriously injured when they challenged the robbers. Both injured individuals were taken to Sadar Hospital in Simdega for treatment under the supervision of the Civil Surgeon. The incident occurred late Tuesday night. High-ranking police officials, including the District SP, are involved in the investigation, and efforts are being made to arrest those responsible.
