In a significant move, the BJP’s National President, Jagat Prakash Nadda, has appointed Rajya Sabha MP Aditya Sahu as the Executive President of the Jharkhand Pradesh BJP. This decision sees Sahu taking over from Ravindra Kumar Rai.
This appointment marks a major organizational shift within the BJP in Jharkhand. Aditya Sahu’s tenure as Executive President is effective immediately, succeeding Ravindra Rai, who was appointed during the assembly elections. The notification of this appointment was issued by National Secretary Arun Singh. Aditya Sahu’s responsibilities included being the in-charge of the Kolhan division during the Jharkhand Assembly elections. He was nominated to the Rajya Sabha in 2022, after which he won his seat unopposed. Prior to this role, he served as the General Secretary of the Jharkhand Pradesh BJP. The former MP of Koderma, Dr. Ravindra Kumar Roy, was the previous Executive President, who was appointed before the 2024 assembly elections.
