Raipur, October 03, 2025 / Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai today participated as the chief guest in the Guru Darshan and Sant Samagam Mela organized at Bhandarpuri Dham under Arang tehsil of Raipur district. On this occasion, he performed the Bhoomipujan of 16 development works costing more than Rs 162 crore, which include the works of construction, widening and strengthening of new roads.
Chief Minister Shri Sai announced the construction of a dome at the fair site, installation of street lights on the Telasi-Bhandarpuri road and upgradation of Kutesar Primary School to Middle School. He said that if five youths from the society want to become pilots, the government will bear their entire expenses and they will be made pilots.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai first took blessings for the well-being of the people of the state by visiting Guru Gaddi. In his address, he said that we have to build a developed Chhattisgarh by following the ideals of Baba Guru Ghasidas. His ideals contain the lessons of humanity and equality. Guru Baba gave the message of unity to the society, as a result of which the Satnami society is today moving forward in the direction of progress and harmony.
The Chief Minister said that it is my good fortune that I got the opportunity to participate in this fair as the Chief Minister last year as well. But there is a big difference between this year and last year. Last year when I came here, Guru Shri Khushwant Saheb of your society was an MLA, now he has become a minister. He has been given a big responsibility to connect the development of Scheduled Castes and Tribes and the youth with employment by providing skill training. We have high hopes from the pride of your society.
The Chief Minister said that the development of every region of the state is happening rapidly. We are fulfilling all the promises that the country’s successful Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi had made to the three crore people of Chhattisgarh in the form of ‘Modi’s guarantee’. So far, more than nine thousand government jobs have been completed and recently the recruitment process for five thousand posts has started in the education department.
He said that the Department of Good Governance and Convergence has been constituted with the aim of ensuring transparency in every work of the government. Chhattisgarh is the first state in the country to do so. Our government is committed to a corruption-free government. The Chief Minister said that no matter how big a person is involved in corruption, he will not be spared.
The Chief Minister said that in the tenure of Dr. Raman Singh, an authority was constituted for the development of the Scheduled Caste community. The present government has increased its budget from 50 crore to 75 crore.
Dharmaguru Guru Shri Baladas Saheb said that this fair is a symbol of social harmony and unity. He expressed his gratitude to Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai for making Guru Khushwant Saheb of the society a cabinet minister and said that not only the Satnami society but the entire state is moving forward on the path of development today.
Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh said that the Jaitkham, which is taller than the Qutub Minar, is in Girodhpuri of Chhattisgarh. This is not the achievement of any one person but the result of the inspiration of Guru Baba Ghasidas. He said that the resolution taken by Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai to uplift the poor and take the state forward is being realized. Schemes are being made in the interest of farmers, women, youth and laborers.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao said that today the Bhoomipujan of 16 development works costing more than Rs 162 crore has been done, which is a historic step in the direction of the development of Arang assembly. He said that many saints-mahatmas and ascetics have been born in the lap of Chhattisgarh Mahtari. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, the government is moving forward with the resolve of ‘we have made it, we will also improve it’. More than 700 tenders have been issued for the development of the state’s roads and after the rains, the state’s roads will be seen in a new form.
Minister Shri Guru Khushwant Saheb said that this fair is organized every year in the memory of Guru Shri Balkadas Saheb, the son of Guru Ghasidas Baba, being enthroned. This is a symbol of the ideals of Satnam Dharma. On this day, Guru Shri Balkadas ji accepted the throne and made the holy land of Bhandarpuri his workplace.
