
The gift of Mahtari Vandan will be received from the land of Maa Danteshwari at the hands of Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah
20th installment of Mahtari Vandan Yojana will be released: Rs 606.94 crore will be transferred to the bank accounts of 65 lakh women
Raipur, 03 October 2025/Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah will transfer an amount of Rs 606 crore 94 lakh to the bank accounts of the beneficiary women of the Mahtari Vandan Yojana of the Chhattisgarh government on October 4 on the occasion of Bastar Dussehra and Muriya Darbar organized in Jagdalpur, the land of Maa Danteshwari. The benefit of the 20th installment of Mahtari Vandan Yojana will be given to 64,94,768 beneficiary women of the state.
It is noteworthy that the Chhattisgarh government had started the Mahtari Vandan Yojana from March 1, 2024, with the aim of making the women of the state financially empowered and self-reliant. The objective of this ambitious scheme is to provide financial assistance of Rs 1,000 per month to all married women above 21 years of age, so that they can not only fulfill their household needs but also live a life of self-reliance and respect in the society.
So far, a total of Rs 12376 crore 19 lakh has been deposited directly into the bank accounts of women in 19 installments under this scheme. This process is not only an example of financial transparency but also a revolutionary step towards the self-reliance of women.
After the transfer of Rs 606 crore 94 lakh of the 20th installment to be released on October 4 at the hands of Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, the total financial figure of Mahtari Vandan Yojana will increase to more than Rs 12983 crore 13 lakh. This achievement not only reflects the Chhattisgarh government’s commitment to women empowerment, but also makes it clear that lakhs of women of the state are directly benefiting financially through this scheme.
