Jagat Prakash Nadda, the National President of the BJP, has appointed Rajya Sabha MP Aditya Sahu as the Executive President of the Jharkhand Pradesh BJP. This appointment signifies a major shift within the party’s leadership in the state, with Sahu taking over from Ravindra Kumar Rai. The appointment of Aditya Sahu as the Executive President of the Jharkhand BJP is effective immediately. His appointment replaces Ravindra Rai, who was appointed Executive President during the assembly elections. A formal letter confirming this decision was released by National Secretary Arun Singh on Friday.
Aditya Sahu served as the in-charge of the Kolhan division during the Jharkhand Assembly elections. He was nominated by BJP National General Secretary Arun Singh to the Rajya Sabha from Jharkhand in 2022 and was subsequently elected without opposition. Before assuming this new responsibility, he held the position of General Secretary in the Jharkhand Pradesh BJP. Until this recent appointment, Dr. Ravindra Kumar Roy, the former MP from Koderma, was the Jharkhand BJP’s state Executive President, a role he held until just before the 2024 assembly elections.
