A shocking incident unfolded in Bijapur, a Naxal-affected region of Chhattisgarh, where a female Maoist was critically injured in an IED blast. The explosion, which occurred in the Bandepara forest under the Madmed police station, was caused by an IED planted by the Maoists themselves. In a display of callousness, the Maoist’s companions abandoned her after the blast, taking her weapon and leaving her to fend for herself in the forest. The local populace informed the authorities about the event.
