Renault and Nissan are set to expand their SUV lineup in India with four new models, including five-seater and seven-seater configurations. The launch of the third-generation Renault Duster and Nissan Duster variants is expected in the first half of 2026. Hybrid powertrain options will be available shortly after the initial launch of the ICE-based models. The Renault Boreal, a seven-seater version of the Duster, is slated for a 2027 launch, with Nissan to release its rebadged Boreal model in the second half of 2027.
The new Renault Duster, tailored for the Indian market, will feature a distinctive design, including a new grille with the Renault logo, Y-shaped lighting elements, updated bumpers, prominent body cladding, square wheel arches, and new alloy wheels. The interior is expected to be more premium and feature-rich, with a large touchscreen infotainment system, digital driver display, wireless charging, and advanced driver assistance features.
