The Congress party’s selection of Bhupesh Baghel, the former Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, as an election observer for the Bihar elections has sparked a critical reaction from Congress MLA Purandar Mishra. Mishra offered congratulations to Baghel and Ashok Gehlot on their new assignments, but qualified his remarks by stating that neither leader holds significant sway in their home turfs, or state politics. He then predicted that the Bihar election results would resemble the Congress’s performance in Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan.
