
Social media platforms often serve as launchpads for fame, and for Paramjeet Kaur, a 19-year-old from Punjab, it has done just that. She’s gained immense popularity and is now known as ‘Lady Moosewala’ by her growing fanbase. Her latest release, ‘That Girl,’ has garnered significant attention.
Paramjeet’s roots are in the small village of Duneke, Moga, Punjab, where her family lives a simple life. Her mother works in homes, and her father is a day laborer. Despite the hardships, her music has brought her into the spotlight. Her love for rapping and singing began during her school days. She later chose music as her major in college.
Paramjeet and her friends started uploading videos of their songs on Facebook. The well-known British music producer, Manni Sandhu, took notice of her talent and decided to film the song in Mohali.
The song, ‘That Girl,’ was uniquely recorded in an Airbnb in Punjab. On YouTube, the song has been viewed by more than 6 million people. Released on September 23rd, Manni Sandhu described how the recording wasn’t done in a high-end studio, nor was any sound treatment used. Despite recording in a location with background noise, the vocals still remained clear. The song’s video maintains a simple style, which contributes to its appeal. Paramjeet has gained a large social media following, with over 200,000 followers.
