
Detailed discussion on Chhattisgarh’s participation in ISRO’s journey, new opportunities for youth, and use of ISRO’s technology to enhance governance efficiency.
Raipur, October 08// A delegation of space scientists led by Dr. N. M. Desai, Director of ISRO Ahmedabad Center, paid a courtesy call on Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai at his official residence in Raipur.
During the meeting, Chief Minister Mr. Sai and the scientists held a detailed discussion on increasing Chhattisgarh’s participation in ISRO’s journey, creating new opportunities for the state’s youth, using ISRO’s technology to bring transparency and efficiency to governance, and activities conducted by ISRO for school and college students.
Appreciating ISRO’s achievements, Chief Minister Mr. Sai said that the heights India has reached in the field of space science are a matter of pride for every Indian. He said that the Chhattisgarh government is promoting innovation and technical education so that the state’s youth can take an interest in space science and actively participate in the country’s space missions.
Chief Minister Mr. Sai said that ISRO should organize internship and training programs for the state’s students, so that they can gain practical knowledge of space science. He also said that ISRO’s technology can be effectively used in tasks such as agriculture, mining control, monitoring land encroachment, and identifying illegal activities during paddy procurement.
On this occasion, Dr. N. M. Desai, Director of ISRO Ahmedabad Center, informed the Chief Minister about various projects being conducted by ISRO. He stated that ISRO is running several innovative programs to connect youth with space science, which will also be extended to Chhattisgarh. A positive discussion was also held regarding the establishment of a ‘Space Gallery’ in the state.
Dr. Desai invited Chief Minister Mr. Sai to visit the ISRO Ahmedabad Center and presented him with replicas of recently launched satellites and the Chandrayaan mission as mementos.
ISRO Scientists were overwhelmed seeing the picture of Lord Madhyeshwar
During the meeting held at the Chief Minister’s residence, when the ISRO scientists’ eyes fell on the picture of Lord Madhyeshwar, they were overwhelmed. Out of curiosity, they sought information about it from Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai.
The Chief Minister explained that Madhyeshwar hill is located in Jashpur district, where Lord Shiva is worshipped in the form of a huge natural Shivalinga. Local people worship this form of Lord Shiva with utmost reverence and devotion. He said that this place is not only a center of religious faith but also a symbol of Chhattisgarh’s rich natural and cultural heritage. Chief Minister Mr. Sai presented photographs of Lord Madhyeshwar to all the scientists as gifts.
