Raipur, October 09, 2025/ “If there is water, there is a future, and the future will be shaped by water. We all have to work together for water conservation, only then can we secure our future.”
Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai said this while addressing a workshop on water conservation and water augmentation held at Omaya Garden in the capital Raipur under ‘Sujalam Bharat’. On this occasion, he gave the message of water conservation by offering water to the water urn.
Chief Minister Mr. Sai said that our Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi has expressed deep concern over the water crisis on many occasions. Lack of awareness among the public about water conservation can deepen this crisis. He said that people across the state are making efforts for water conservation in their own ways, and through such platforms, everyone will be able to share their experiences, which will ultimately prove decisive in policy making.
Mentioning his Rajnandgaon visit, Chief Minister Mr. Sai informed that a woman sarpanch, on her own initiative, revived dried-up handpumps. Her innovative effort was also appreciated by the central government and financial assistance was provided to take this noble initiative forward.
Chief Minister said that such examples inspire us. We all have to collectively give the form of a mass movement to water conservation so that our future can be secured. He said that the suggestions and inputs received from this seminar will be very helpful in the formulation of future action plans.
