
In a significant development, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has praised the Jammu and Kashmir administration and security forces for their robust response to the Pahalgam terror attack. Presiding over a crucial security review in New Delhi, Shah stressed the importance of unwavering vigilance and coordinated action to counter terrorism, especially with winter approaching. He affirmed that security personnel will operate with complete autonomy to neutralize any elements threatening peace. Officials highlighted that the terror network, previously active in J&K, has been significantly degraded due to persistent security operations. The meeting also covered the strategy for fully restoring tourism, with several previously closed destinations now reopened, reflecting improved security conditions. Shah reaffirmed the government’s commitment to securing a peaceful and prosperous future for Jammu and Kashmir.
