Koderma’s Sainik School Tilaiya is currently hosting a vibrant ‘Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat-1/25’ national camp, bringing together 601 NCC cadets from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, West Bengal, Bihar, and Jharkhand. Under the aegis of the Bihar and Jharkhand NCC Directorate and the commanding presence of Colonel Vijay Kumar (SM) of the 45 Jharkhand Battalion NCC Koderma, the camp’s sixth day was marked by spirited participation in physical training, competitive events, and engaging workshops. The initiative aims to foster a stronger sense of national identity among the youth.
Enhancing the learning experience, members of the EXPA Group from Bengaluru delivered impactful workshops. Team leader Anish Rahul and his colleagues guided cadets through essential life skills, including building self-assurance, mastering public speaking, engaging in self-evaluation, and honing leadership potential. The EXPA Group’s core objective, as articulated by Rahul, is to empower NCC cadets by offering them a unique platform for growth, cultivating them into proactive citizens, and promoting a broader international perspective. He stressed that these comprehensive training programs are entirely complimentary, focusing on analytical skills and critical thinking to inspire the next generation.
Cultural exchange forms a significant part of the camp’s agenda. Second Officer Abhijit Anand and Third Officer Naveen Choudhary are coordinating efforts with various state representatives, including NCC officers and girl cadet instructors, to present diverse cultural performances. These showcases of regional heritage are designed to celebrate India’s diversity and reinforce the message of unity and shared values.
Operational oversight for health and discipline is provided by Subedar Major Arvind Kumar. The camp’s success is also attributed to the seamless coordination of training and administrative tasks by Lieutenant Santosh Kumar, alongside a dedicated team of Subedars and permanent instructors from the 45 Jharkhand Battalion, including Head Assistant Rajesh Kumar. This camp is a testament to the ‘Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat’ mission, actively shaping cadets into responsible citizens committed to national development.
