With openers Smriti Mandhana and Pratika Rawal setting a commanding platform with a 155-run partnership, India was in a strong position at 198/1 in 30 overs. However, the team’s inability to capitalize resulted in a dramatic collapse, losing nine wickets for 138 runs and being all out for 330 in 48.5 overs. Kaur stated that this lack of scoring in the crucial last six overs was the difference-maker. “We missed runs in the last six overs, and that cost us,” she explained. Australia’s chase was anchored by a brilliant 142 from Alyssa Healy, securing a thrilling three-wicket win. Kaur acknowledged the stellar batting by Mandhana and Rawal but stressed the need for the entire batting lineup to contribute consistently, especially in the closing stages of an innings. She also commended the bowling efforts of young talent N Shree Charani.
