The spirit of Diwali resonated in Koderma with a special event organized by the Prerna Branch of Marwari Yuva Manch, Jhumritilaiya. Under the ‘Anand Sabke Liye’ program, the Anganwadi center in Harijan Tola became a hub of joy as children received a generous distribution of sweets, gifts, and essential items. The children’s faces lit up as they enjoyed the festive occasion, including the excitement of lighting sparklers. Shalini Gupta, former Zila Parishad President and the chief guest, articulated the festival’s true essence lies in sharing joy with the community’s less fortunate. She emphasized that sharing happiness is a noble act of social service, fostering crucial values like social sensitivity and responsibility in young minds. Gupta encouraged the public to support local artisans by buying handmade earthen diyas this Diwali. Indra Dev Ram, District President of the Dalit Utpidan Sangharsh Samiti, commended the Prerna Branch for its proactive role in social welfare. Arvind Choudhary, an Agrawal Samaj executive, highlighted the Prerna Branch’s mission to assist those at the fringes of society. Sarika Laddha, Prerna Branch President, confirmed their consistent social service efforts for three years through various programs. Looking ahead, the branch intends to share Diwali festivities with residents of an old age home by distributing supplies.
