The Women’s ODI World Cup 2025 has seen its final league stage match between India and Bangladesh end in a washout due to adverse weather conditions. With no result possible, both teams receive one point, but India’s focus now firmly shifts to their semifinal clash against Australia on October 30th. The game at Dr DY Patil Sports Academy witnessed Bangladesh scoring 119/9 in a reduced 27-over innings. India’s chase was then set a revised target of 126 in 27 overs. However, the heavens opened up, limiting India to 57/0 in just 8.4 overs. Smriti Mandhana was in fine form, remaining unbeaten on 34, while Amanjot Kaur scored 15. The Indian camp also faces concerns regarding Pratika Rawal, who suffered a knee and ankle injury during fielding in the first innings, raising questions about her participation in the upcoming semifinal.
