The Karnataka government has announced the recipients of the 2025 Rajyotsava Awards, honoring 70 individuals for their outstanding contributions. Among the celebrated personalities is the renowned actor Prakash Raj. This year’s selection process is unique, as it was conducted without inviting applications, emphasizing a merit-based approach through district-wise assessments, social adherence, and committee endorsements. A significant first for the Rajyotsava Awards is the recognition of two talents from the Samagar Haralayya community. While no organizations were selected this year, 12 women have been honored, with some having submitted their own applications. The awards acknowledge excellence in fields ranging from cinema and administration to literature, social service, arts, science, education, and sports, reflecting a broad spectrum of talent enriching Karnataka.
