Khunti’s law enforcement has cracked a case involving a brutal shooting, arresting two individuals who attacked businessman Shafiq Mian. The victim, a resident of Padampur, was shot near the Akhara Maidan in Chhata village, Karra, and remains in serious condition. The arrested suspects are Shahid Mian, from Karra’s Baraik Toli, and Modasir Ahmed, also known as Mo Raja Khan, residing in Khunti’s Haider Complex. The Special Police Officer confirmed the breakthrough, highlighting the swift action taken by a dedicated team. The motive, as confessed by the accused, was a commercial disagreement concerning the placement of a shop in the Rolaguttu market. Shahid Mian and the victim, Shafiq Mian, had reportedly been in conflict over this issue. Police investigations led to the recovery of the getaway scooter and two live cartridges, crucial pieces of evidence in the case. Further interrogations are underway.
