Addressing a large gathering in Aurangabad, Bihar, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi launched a strong critique of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and the ruling NDA government. Gandhi asserted that Kumar is taking his cues from leaders in New Delhi and has failed to create adequate employment opportunities for Bihar’s youth, forcing them into labor. He pointed to the recurring issue of question paper leaks as evidence of a system that favors privileged students. Gandhi further elaborated on his view that Prime Minister Modi is promoting social media addiction as a means to keep young people disengaged from fundamental issues like education, healthcare, and job creation. This, according to Gandhi, is a strategy to prevent accountability for the government’s performance. The Congress MP also accused Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah of planning to steal votes in Bihar, alleging that they recognize the NDA’s potential electoral deficit. He declared that an INDIA bloc government would prioritize the welfare of extremely backward, marginalized, and Dalit populations. Gandhi concluded by asserting that the people of Bihar are vigilant and will not allow their mandate to be subverted.
