
A horrific bomb blast in a car near Delhi’s Red Fort on Monday evening has claimed the lives of at least eight people and left others wounded. The explosion, which occurred around 7 pm at the Subhash Marg traffic signal, caused a significant fire that consumed several vehicles, including multiple cars and auto-rickshaws. Fire services were deployed rapidly to bring the situation under control.
Officials reported that the blast caused casualties among bystanders and damaged numerous vehicles. Home Minister Amit Shah noted the swift arrival of the Delhi Crime Branch and Delhi Special Branch teams at the scene, underscoring the immediate response to the crisis. Investigations into the motive and perpetrators of the attack are underway.
