
A special postal stamp, branded as ‘My Stamp,’ has been introduced to celebrate the incredible bravery displayed during the Battle of Rezang La. This initiative aligns with the release of ‘120 Bahadur,’ a film dedicated to recounting the heroic stand of the 13th Battalion, Kumaon Regiment.
Actor Farhan Akhtar expressed his honor at being part of this initiative, sharing details and images on his social media. He extended his sincere appreciation to Defence Minister Rajnath Singh for gracing the inauguration event, underscoring the profound significance of commemorating the sacrifices of India’s soldiers. The Indian Postal Service’s issuance of this stamp marks a significant recognition of the battle.
In New Delhi, the Defence Minister formally unveiled the commemorative ‘My Stamp’ in the presence of postal service dignitaries and key members of the ‘120 Bahadur’ film crew. The group included Director General of Postal Services Shri Jitendra Gupta, Director Razneesh ‘Razy’ Ghai, Farhan Akhtar, Ritesh Sidhwani, Amit Chandrra, and Arhan Bagati. The stamp launch serves as a prelude to the 63rd anniversary of the renowned Battle of Rezang La.
The Rezang La War Memorial, a sacred site in Chushul, Ladakh, stands as a permanent tribute to the unparalleled courage and sacrifice of the soldiers who fought valiantly. It honors their spirit during the 1962 war, ensuring their valor remains etched in national memory.
The upcoming film, ‘120 Bahadur,’ directed by Razneesh ‘Razy’ Ghai, will delve into this extraordinary tale of heroism, featuring Farhan Akhtar as Major Shaitan Singh Bhati. Produced by Excel Entertainment and Trigger Happy Studios, the film is set to premiere in theaters on November 21, 2025.
