Around 80% of the city’s banquet halls and hotels are already reserved for the upcoming wedding season. This high demand is partly due to the scarcity of auspicious dates in November and December, prompting couples to secure their preferred venues well in advance. The Chamber Banquet Sub-Committee has noted a substantial influx of inquiries, confirming that most prime locations are now occupied for the remaining auspicious wedding days. Concurrently, the city’s markets are experiencing a festive surge, with jewelry and clothing stores seeing a considerable rise in shoppers. People are actively engaged in purchasing wedding trousseaus, often shopping until late hours. Despite fewer wedding dates anticipated in 2025, market activity remains high. Astrologers indicate that the current season, spanning November and December, offers only 13 wedding dates, with a significantly larger number available from the new year until July. Key auspicious dates identified include November 22, 23, 24, 29, December 4, 5, February 5, March 10, and March 14, considered highly favorable for tying the knot. The astrological significance of planetary positions, particularly Jupiter and Venus, plays a vital role in determining these auspicious timings.
