
In a grim turn of events in Ferozepur, Punjab, a 32-year-old shopkeeper named Naveen Arora was shot and killed by two unidentified individuals on a motorcycle on Saturday evening. The victim was reportedly walking home from his business establishment in the vicinity of Dr Sadhu Chand Chowk when the assailants approached him. In a swift and brutal act, they opened fire from a point-blank range before making their escape on their motorcycle. This violent incident has left the community in a state of shock and concern.
Paramedics were called to the scene, and Arora was quickly taken to a private medical facility. Unfortunately, he was declared deceased by the attending doctors upon arrival. The immediate motive behind this fatal shooting is yet to be determined, and law enforcement is actively seeking information that could lead to the capture of the suspects.
The local police have initiated a comprehensive investigation. SSP Bhupinder Singh and other high-ranking officials were present at the crime scene, coordinating the investigative efforts. The SSP indicated that the police are thoroughly reviewing all available CCTV footage from the area in an attempt to identify the perpetrators. He reassured the public that efforts are underway to apprehend the individuals responsible and that they will face legal consequences. Specialized teams are working on the case, and the local MLA, Ranbir Singh Bhullar, has visited the victim’s family to offer solidarity and promise decisive action.
