
The fight against Naxalism in Jharkhand is entering a decisive phase, with acting DGP T. Adasha Mishra signaling a strong intent to clear the Saranda forest region of rebel elements. Her recent visit to Chaibasa involved a crucial strategic review of anti-insurgency operations. The DGP engaged in detailed deliberations with senior officials from the police, CRPF, and specialized units like Cobra and Jaguar. Discussions centered on intelligence gathering, operational strategies in the challenging Saranda landscape, troop welfare, and enhancing inter-force synergy. DGP Mishra acknowledged the difficulties inherent in counter-insurgency missions but expressed optimism due to the effective collaboration between forces. She issued a clear directive that Naxalite activities in Saranda will be brought to an end very soon, affirming that all preparatory measures have been completed. The focus now shifts to refining operational protocols based on past experiences to maximize success rates. The DGP emphasized that a unified and coordinated approach is fundamental to achieving lasting peace and security in the region, prioritizing methodical and secure operations.
