In a developing story out of Texas, law enforcement has arrested an Afghan national, identified as Mohammad Dawood Alokozay, after he allegedly shared a TikTok video demonstrating the construction of an explosive device. The video reportedly suggested the Fort Worth area as the intended target. Alokozay was admitted to the U.S. under Operation Allies Welcome following the Taliban’s takeover of Afghanistan in 2021. He faces state charges for making terroristic threats. The arrest was the result of a collaborative operation between the Texas Department of Public Safety and a federal task force. A detainer has been placed on Alokozay by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, indicating potential federal immigration proceedings. This arrest occurred shortly before a separate shooting incident involving another Afghan national near the White House.
