These talks are rumored to have progressed beyond preliminary stages, with initial consent for a political collaboration reportedly secured. It’s also suggested that the position of deputy chief minister has been discussed, with possibilities including Babulal Marandi or Champai Soren.
This potential alliance emerges at a time when the JMM-Congress-RJD coalition in Jharkhand maintains a comfortable majority, and the JMM could govern independently if necessary. The Congress would likely support the government from the outside to counter the BJP.
