Passengers faced significant flight delays on Tuesday due to a technical glitch affecting the check-in systems used by Air India and other airlines. The issue stemmed from a third-party service provider, causing operational snags at various airports nationwide.
Fortunately, the problem was short-lived, with Air India announcing its complete resolution hours later. “The third-party system has been fully restored, and check-in at all airports is functioning normally. All our flights are operating as per schedule,” the airline confirmed via X. This announcement signaled a return to normalcy for affected travelers.
During the outage, Air India’s ground staff worked to manage the situation, but passengers were urged to stay updated on flight schedules and arrive at airports with additional buffer time. The incident highlights the critical nature of IT infrastructure in maintaining airline punctuality.
