Reports of Indian cricket sensation Smriti Mandhana and music director Palash Muchhal tying the knot on December 7th have been quashed by Mandhana’s brother, Shravan. The couple’s wedding, initially slated for November 23rd, was postponed at the last minute due to the ill health of Smriti’s father, Srinivas, who was admitted to a hospital in her hometown of Sangli. Palash Muchhal also faced a temporary hospitalization. While both have since been discharged, the families have not set a new date for the nuptials. Amidst the postponement, Mandhana’s Instagram feed saw the removal of several wedding-related posts, although some personal photos with Palash are still available. Shravan Mandhana explicitly stated that no new plans are in place, telling a publication, “I have no idea about these rumours. As of now, it (the wedding) is still postponed.” Palash Muchhal’s mother, Amita, spoke about the difficulties faced by the couple and expressed her strong belief that the wedding will happen soon. She shared her anticipation for the ceremony, emphasizing that things will eventually be alright. The situation has prompted a wave of goodwill, including actor Suniel Shetty lauding cricketer Jemimah Rodrigues for her unwavering support for Smriti.
