Palamu’s District Magistrate and Deputy Commissioner, Sameera S, actively listened to the public’s concerns during a ‘Janata Darbar’ session held at the district collectorate. Residents from across Palamu presented applications detailing a spectrum of issues, including land disputes, ration card discrepancies, and administrative delays. The DC pledged swift action, promising that all matters would be addressed within 15 days. A significant case involved an employee whose salary has been suspended since 2016 due to an administrative error in recording his birth date. Appointed in 2015, the incorrect date has prevented him from receiving his wages, causing severe financial strain. He implored the DC for the immediate reinstatement of his salary. Acknowledging ongoing problems reported by citizens from the Bishrampur Anchal, the Deputy Commissioner announced a special review of the office’s functioning on November 18th, specifically addressing unresolved applications from past public hearings.
