The Civil Aviation Ministry is set to take stringent measures against IndiGo following a recent spate of flight cancellations and delays, according to Union Minister Ram Mohan Naidu. He assured that the ongoing crisis, which has stranded numerous passengers, is being addressed with urgency. “From tomorrow, we are expecting normalcy to start in the sense that there won’t be any congestion, or there won’t be any waiting at the airports,” Minister Naidu said, highlighting the government’s commitment to passenger welfare. An inquiry committee has been instituted to meticulously examine the operational breakdown and ascertain responsibility for the disruptions. The minister confirmed that “necessary action” would be taken based on the committee’s findings, ensuring such lapses are not repeated. The airline’s operational chaos has led to thousands of flight cancellations over several days, impacting major Indian cities and causing significant inconvenience to travelers.
