A tense situation has unfolded in the Jagsimar Panchayat, under Bhelwaghati police station in Giridih, with the discovery of Upendra Yadav’s body under suspicious circumstances. Yadav was reportedly traveling back from Chatro market when he died near Fatehpur. His family’s allegations of murder have fueled a wave of grief and anger throughout the community. In protest, villagers have blocked a major road, causing significant disruption to traffic. DSP Rajendra Prasad, who is overseeing the situation, has been on-site attempting to de-escalate the unrest. While the exact cause of death remains unclear, with some suggesting an accident, the dominant narrative among the villagers points to a homicide, heightening the ongoing tension. The DSP has promised a scrupulous investigation into all aspects of the case, stating that if murder is confirmed, swift action will be taken against the culprits. Villagers maintained their protest and road blockade even as authorities worked to resolve the situation.
