An impactful rural entrepreneurship and loan distribution initiative by JSLPS recently took place in Medininagar, Palamu. The program, inaugurated by Medininagar SDO Sulochana Meena and other dignitaries, aimed to equip rural women with the tools and capital to start and grow their own businesses. According to District Program Manager Anita Karketta, JSLPS is facilitating the establishment of numerous small enterprises and ensuring access to necessary banking loans for these women entrepreneurs. The district has seen a remarkable surge, with over 14,000 new businesses launched this fiscal year. These ventures span various sectors, including grocery, food and beverage, manufacturing of accessories, and processing of agricultural products like mustard oil and flour. The District Collector’s consistent encouragement is a key factor in this success. SDO Meena encouraged the ‘Sakhi Mandal’ members to think creatively and aspire to lift their families from poverty, advocating for the creation of unique business identities. She assured that the government is committed to providing substantial support. During the event, symbolic loan sanction checks were presented to six women entrepreneurs, namely Durgawati Devi, Sulekha Kumari, Manju Devi, Supriya Devi, Rani Begum, and Reena Devi, celebrating their commitment to entrepreneurship.
