Bokaro Steel Plant is prioritizing safety through proactive measures, including specialized awareness programs. A significant event focused on gas safety was organized on December 12, 2025, at the HR Knowledge & Development Department’s Main Auditorium. This program, a joint initiative of the Safety Engineering and Energy Management departments, attracted 89 participants representing various roles and departments within the plant, including officers, regular employees, and contract personnel. The event was designed to elevate the understanding and application of safe gas practices, reinforcing the plant’s commitment to a secure working environment. Key figures present included Sukdev Mahto, Assistant General Manager of the Safety Department, and Vineet Tirkey, Assistant General Manager of the Energy Management Department. Mahto’s welcome address highlighted the necessity of such programs, while Tirkey’s presentation offered in-depth insights into the safe management and utilization of gases in the steel industry, encouraging maximum knowledge absorption.
