The centenary of the Ol Chiki script was recently honored with President Droupadi Murmu emphasizing the critical importance of preserving tribal languages, cultures, and indigenous knowledge. The celebration, held in Jharkhand’s East Singhbhum district, honored 100 years of the script developed by the visionary Pandit Raghunath Murmu. She expressed her admiration for the enduring dedication of Santhali writers and cultural advocates who tirelessly work to keep the Ol Chiki script and Santhali language vibrant.
