Mahindra is gearing up for an aggressive expansion of its SUV lineup in India, with several new models and upgrades planned for release by 2026. These vehicles will include electric, hybrid, and updated versions of existing models.
### Mahindra XEV 7e
Building on the XEV 9e platform, Mahindra is developing a three-row electric SUV called the Mahindra XEV 7e. Scheduled to launch in late 2025, possibly in November or December, the XEV 7e will share its underlying architecture with the XEV 9e, including its battery options and design language. This includes the 59kWh and 79kWh LFP battery packs, which are estimated to provide a range of 542 km and 656 km, respectively. The seven-seater configuration could slightly alter these range figures.
### Mahindra XUV 3XO Hybrid
Mahindra is also embracing hybrid technology, with the XUV 3XO being the first model to get a hybrid powertrain. Expected to arrive next year, this SUV will feature a 1.2-liter, 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine combined with a hybrid system. While the overall design is expected to remain largely unchanged, the hybrid version will feature unique exterior badging and interior updates.
### Next-Gen Mahindra Bolero
The highly anticipated next-generation Mahindra Bolero is confirmed for a 2026 release. This model will see significant improvements to its design and features while retaining the existing diesel engine. Spy shots show that the new Bolero will retain its iconic boxy shape. It is expected to include a panoramic sunroof, a digital instrument cluster, Level 2 ADAS, and other premium features.
