For those considering a new car purchase, waiting a bit longer might be advantageous, as several new vehicles are soon to be launched. Based on test vehicles and reports, the following cars are likely to be released in the coming months. Here’s a rundown of the key details.
**Nissan C-segment SUV**
Nissan is gearing up to launch a new compact MPV, which will share many features with the Renault Triber. This model will be related to the forthcoming Duster, expected in the first half of 2026. The car is expected to make its debut on October 7. The car is expected to be powered by a turbocharged petrol engine initially, with a seven-seater version to follow.
**Updated Mahindra Thar Facelift**
Contrary to previous test mules, the refreshed 3-door Thar is expected to have only minor cosmetic changes. The existing petrol and diesel engines will continue to be offered with the same transmission choices. Interior upgrades will include a larger screen and additional features, based on sightings.
**Skoda Octavia RS**
Skoda displayed the Octavia RS at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025 earlier this year. The car will officially be available from October 17 and will be imported via the CBU route. The first batch will consist of only 100 units and will also have a range of mechanical enhancements over the standard models.
The car will be equipped with a 2.0L Turbo Petrol mill, kicking out 261 bhp at 370 Nm.
**Citroen Aircross X**
Citroen India plans to introduce an Aircross X with similar specifications to the C3 hatchback and Basalt SUV coupe. The French brand will introduce features like all-LED lighting, new seat upholstery, and ventilated seats. However, the powertrain is expected to remain the same.
