Ather is considering adding cruise control to its 450 series electric scooters. The announcement is expected at the 2025 Community Day on August 30, 2025. Along with this feature, Ather may also be planning to launch a new entry-level model. Updates to the existing models are also expected to be revealed at the event. While there is no official confirmation, industry sources indicate that cruise control is planned as a major feature addition.
The current 450 series consists of the 450s, 450X, and 450 Apex models. Cruise control is likely to be added to the 450X and 450 Apex, and existing customers will receive the feature via an update. The update will only be available on scooters with Atherstack Pro software. Cruise control is not new to the Indian electric scooter market; Ola Electric’s S1 series already has cruise control through the Move OS 2.0 update since June 2022, which was later improved via Move OS 4.0.
