The Audi Q3, a staple in the premium compact SUV market, has seen over 2 million units sold in the last decade. Audi has revealed the third generation of the Q3 globally. The new Q3 has undergone a design update with a focus on digital features. The plug-in hybrid versions provide impressive electric driving capabilities.
The new Audi Q3 is offered in two distinct body styles: the standard SUV and a Sportback version with a lowered roofline. The front-end showcases a broad Singleframe grille and streamlined headlights. It incorporates micro-LED digital matrix headlights with customizable light signature options. The OLED taillamps and illuminated Audi logo provide a premium touch.
The interior features a number of class-leading features, including a new steering control unit for more space and easier controls. Acoustic glazing and a larger boot space contribute to a quieter cabin at high speeds. The SUV version’s boot capacity is 488 liters, which expands to 1,386 liters with the rear seats folded. The sliding and reclining rear bench enhances comfort and versatility for passengers.
The new Audi Q3 will offer various engine choices, including a 1.5L TFSI petrol engine producing 148 bhp and mild-hybrid technology. A 2.0L TDI diesel engine will also be an option.
The plug-in hybrid variant offers 268 bhp of power and a 25.7 kWh battery pack. The SUV version has an electric range of 119 km (WLTP), while the Sportback version offers 118 km. Adaptive suspension is included, offering adjustments for comfort and sportier handling.
The new Audi Q3 is expected to launch in India by 2026, potentially as an entry-level offering in the company’s SUV lineup. In India, it will compete with models like the Mercedes-Benz GLA, BMW X1, and Volvo XC40.
