The Indian automotive landscape is gearing up for an exciting period, with a wave of new models expected in the coming months. The sub-4 meter SUV segment will see new offerings from Hyundai, Renault, and Tata, including the new-generation Venue, the updated Kiger, and the Punch facelift.
The Renault Kiger facelift is planned for launch on August 24th, while the third-generation Hyundai Venue is scheduled to go on sale from October 24th. The launch date for the Tata Punch facelift is not yet confirmed, but its debut is anticipated around the Diwali season.
Renault Kiger Facelift
The new Kiger’s updated rear profile has been partially revealed through official teasers. The compact SUV is expected to receive minor cosmetic and interior changes, while retaining its existing 1.0-liter naturally aspirated and turbo petrol engines. A CNG option will continue to be offered as a retrofit, mirroring the current model. The 2025 Renault Kiger might feature a new freestanding touchscreen, updated seat upholstery, and new trim options. The majority of aesthetic changes are expected to be on the front.
New-Gen Hyundai Venue
The new-generation Hyundai Venue (code-named QU2i) will feature significant updates to its styling and interior. The updated feature set may include ventilated front seats, a larger display screen, a panoramic sunroof, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System). The 2025 Hyundai Venue will incorporate design cues from the Creta and Alcazar. It will be available with the current engine options: the 1.0-liter turbo, 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol, and 1.5-liter diesel.
Tata Punch Facelift
Both the Tata Punch and Punch EV are slated for a mid-life update in October 2025. Spy shots suggest that the updated Punch will have a redesigned front grille, slimmer headlamps, and a new LED DRL signature. It may also feature new alloy wheels. Inside, this compact SUV is expected to include a new two-spoke steering wheel from the recently launched Altroz facelift, a larger touchscreen, a fully digital instrument cluster, and a touch-based HVAC control panel. The 2025 Tata Punch will maintain its current engine setup.
