Bajaj Auto experienced a sales increase in August 2025, with a total of 4,17,616 units sold. This represents a growth of more than 5% compared to the 3,97,804 units sold in August 2024, and an improvement over the 3,66,000 units sold in July 2025.
While overall sales grew, the domestic market saw a decline. Domestic sales for Bajaj in August 2025 fell by 8% to 2,32,398 units, compared to 2,53,827 units in August 2024. The two-wheeler segment saw a more pronounced decrease in domestic sales, dropping by 12% to 1,84,109 units.
Exports played a significant role in boosting sales. Bajaj Auto exported 1,85,218 units in August 2025, reflecting a 29% increase compared to the 1,43,977 units exported the previous year. Two-wheeler exports showed particularly strong performance, increasing by 25% to 1,57,778 units.
The commercial vehicle segment remained robust in August 2025. Domestic sales in this segment rose by 7% to 48,289 units. Exports in this segment performed even better, increasing by 58% to 27,440 units.
Consequently, the CV segment saw a 21% increase in sales, totaling 75,729 units. August 2025 showed that while the domestic market faced challenges, global demand fueled growth for Bajaj Auto.
During the initial five months of fiscal year 2025 (April-August), Bajaj Auto sold 18,94,853 units, a more than 2% increase compared to the 18,54,029 units sold in the same period last year. Despite a 9% decrease in domestic sales to 10,50,349 units, a 21% increase in exports helped to balance the overall performance.
