In 2024, Bajaj released the Freedom 125 NG04, a CNG motorcycle. With this launch, Bajaj intended to provide a dual-fuel solution, helping riders reduce fuel costs and overall running expenses. After an initially successful launch, sales figures have recently decreased. Bajaj has now reduced the price of the base variant in an effort to stimulate sales.
**Price Adjustments:**
The base variant, which features drum brakes, now costs Rs 5,000 less. This brings the price down to approximately Rs 85,976, compared to the original price of Rs 90,976. The mid and top variants retain their existing prices. The mid-variant is available at Rs 95,981 ex-showroom, while the top variant is priced at Rs 1,10,976 ex-showroom.
All versions of the Freedom 125 are driven by a 125cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine, which generates 9.5 PS of power and 9.7 Nm of peak torque. The base variant, which has seen the price reduction, is equipped with a halogen headlamp, while the other variants have LED headlamps.
The base variant includes a 110mm drum brake at the rear and a 130mm drum brake at the front. All variants are equipped with a CBS braking setup. The top variant, ‘NG0D disc,’ features a 240mm disc brake at the front and a 130mm drum brake at the rear.
The base and mid-range models have a basic LCD display without connectivity, whereas the top variant is equipped with a full LCD display with connectivity. The base variant also lacks tank flaps and some other features available on the higher-end models.
