
BYD’s Yangwang U9 Track Edition has set a new benchmark in the electric vehicle world, achieving a top speed of 472.41 km/h. This remarkable feat surpasses the previous record of 431.45 km/h set by the Rimac Nevera R. The record was achieved at the Automotive Testing Papenburg (ATP) track in Germany. The Yangwang U9 Track Edition showcases substantial advancements over the standard Yangwang U9. The track edition’s performance benefits from technical and aerodynamic improvements, as demonstrated by its increased top speed compared to the standard model. This hypercar is driven by German racing driver Mark Basseng. The car features four electric motors, each generating 555 kW (755 PS), resulting in a total power output of 2,207 kW (3,000 PS).
