
Citroen has initiated pre-bookings for its Basalt X range in India. Customers can book the car for 11,000 rupees via dealerships or the official website. The Basalt X is part of Citroen’s “New 2.0 Change” strategy. The already launched C3X is based on the standard C3 but includes added features. The Citroen C3X features proxy-sense passive entry, a push start system, offering hands-free access, a first in its segment. The SUV also includes cruise control with a speed limiter and the brand’s HALO 360-degree camera system, which provides seven viewing angles. Interior features include a leather-finished instrument panel and a 10.25-inch Citroen Connect touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, as well as rear USB Type-C charging ports. Safety features include six airbags, ESP, ABS with EBD, Hill Hold Assist, ISOFIX mounts, TPMS, and a high-speed alert. The Citroen Basalt X may come with a 1.2-liter, 3-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that generates up to 108 bhp and 205 Nm of torque. It offers a boot space of 470 liters and a ground clearance of 180 mm.
