The Tata Harrier’s 2025 update brings in new Adventure X and Adventure X Plus trims, aiming to offer great features at a lower price point. The Harrier goes up against the Hyundai Creta SX(O) diesel in the Indian market. Both SUVs are good options for buyers who want a strong diesel engine without a lot of extra luxury. This article compares the Harrier Adventure X and Hyundai Creta SX(O) based on their specs, features, and prices.
In terms of size, the Tata Harrier Adventure X is larger than the Hyundai Creta. With a length of 4,605 mm, width of 1,922 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,741 mm, the Harrier has more space inside compared to the Creta’s 4,330 mm length, 1,790 mm width, and 2,610 mm wheelbase.
The Harrier Adventure X uses a 2.0-liter diesel engine that makes 170 PS of power and 350 Nm of torque. It comes with both 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmissions. The Creta SX(O) diesel has a smaller 1.5-liter diesel engine with 116 PS of power and 250 Nm of torque, also available with manual and automatic transmissions.
Both SUVs have LED headlights, a panoramic sunroof, a 10.25-inch touchscreen, a digital driver display, six airbags, ISOFIX mounts, a 360-degree camera, and Level-2 ADAS safety features.
The Creta SX(O) has more features, like ventilated front seats, dual-zone climate control, an 8-way adjustable driver seat, wireless phone charging, and a cooled glovebox, which the Harrier Adventure X doesn’t have. Tata has responded with a wider stance, black leatherette trim with tan accents, and a 6-way adjustable driver seat.
The prices are similar. The Harrier Adventure X starts at Rs 18.99 lakh (ex-showroom), slightly less than the Creta SX(O) diesel, which starts at Rs 19.05 lakh. However, the Creta has the advantage in the automatic version. The diesel automatic Creta costs Rs 20 lakh, while the Harrier Adventure X automatic costs Rs 20.69 lakh.
