Mahindra’s Vision S SUV concept, revealed on Independence Day, showcases the brand’s innovative design direction and hints at a new model within the Scorpio family, alongside the Scorpio N and Classic Scorpio. The Vision S, alongside concepts X, T, and SXT, highlights the company’s vision for the future. The exterior is marked by LED headlights, an LED-enhanced grille, and the Mahindra logo. The front includes a radar unit and parking sensors. Unique design elements include roof-mounted lights and pixel-shaped fog lamps. The SUV has off-road-oriented features, like cladding and 19-inch wheels with distinctive rims. Side-mounted cameras provide an alternative to conventional mirrors. The rear showcases inverted tail lamps and a tailgate-mounted spare wheel. The interior boasts a new steering wheel design, a digital driver’s display with updated graphics, and a new NU UX system that offers wireless smartphone connectivity. The cabin features dual-tone upholstery, redesigned door trims, premium seats, and a panoramic sunroof. The Vision S is built on Mahindra’s versatile NU-IQ platform, designed to accommodate various powertrain options, including petrol, diesel, hybrid, and electric. The presence of a fuel cap indicates the possibility of a petrol or diesel version, potentially with a 1.2-litre turbo petrol or a 1.5-litre diesel engine. Features such as variable-ratio steering are also expected.
